A FO and a SP Package

First let me show you how much spoiling my secret pal has done. I just love everything and am so happy to get a wonderful package. I cannot wait to knit up this yarn.

SP11 Package

Here is a FO. This is WendyKnits Kitty Bed made for my puppy. I made a few modifications and they seem to have backfired on me as the bed did not felt the way I thought it would. This is a before photo since I have yet to manage a photo of the bed since I felted it.

Smokey's Bed & Smokey Before Felting

Well that is going to be it for today as I have a few things to do before I have to go to bed and only 4 1/2 hours until bedtime. 5 am comes very early and at the advanced age of 27 I need my rest (my dad is giving me a very hard time about being 27).

Saw this & just had to take it

I took this several months ago and recently saw it on someone else’s blog and decided to retake it. I was shocked that I actually got the same answer as before as normally I end up with different results every time I take a quiz. I may post tomorrow, but since tomorrow is my birthday I may just spend it knitting & playing computer games.

What Kind of Knitter Are You?

You appear to be a Knitting Guru. You love knitting and do it all the time. While finishing a piece is the plan, you still love the process, and can’t imagine a day going by without giving some time to your yarn. Packing for vacation involves leaving ample space for the stash and supplies. It can be hard to tell where the yarn ends and you begin.http://marniemaclean.com

Big Update

Wow, life happens really fast sometimes.  We had our store inventory on the 6th and I was at work for 14 hours which pretty much killed that weekend as I was so tired.  I normally only work 5 hours a day so that was like working 3 days in one.  To top it off I had some major drama the day before.

I was driving home the day before inventory when my car started making a rattling noise and then when I had to slow down it would not speed back up.  I managed to get to the side of the road before it dies, but once it did there was no moving it.  So my trusty car which I have driven for almost 10 years was dead.  Since it was a 1993 Toyota Tercel my dad decided it was not worth fixing it - though he did mutter something about a rod or piston.  So there I am wondering how I am supposed to a) get to work and b) do my job since a car is required while my dad goes back to work.  Well, my parents were really late coming home that night and when then did get home they showed up with a brand new res 2007 Cobalt for me.  Which was a wonderful surprise and I thought I would end up with another used car.

So, then I was going to get on and blog about my new car and my computer wouldn’t boot up.  My dad has fixed it finally, but I have only been able to read blogs - no email or posting because my mom does not like my email provider and my bog host.  I don’t understand how posting is worse than reading, but it was her computer I was using.

So that is the drama that has been going on in my life since the 4th.  I do have to say that it has allowed me to do some knitting and crafting.  I have been steadily working on a cabled purse for my sister’s Christmas gift as there is no way I will finish the Sunset Seraphim for her.  Then I have been working on finishing the sweater for Natalie, Natalie’s Huggable Hedgehog for Christmas, and mom’s Cozy (also forChristmas.)  I have also been working on the Cable & Lace cardigan  and Bee Fields shawl for myself.  Then I have cast on 2 new projects.  The one is wendyknits kitty bed that I am enlarging and making for Smokey.  Then my LYS has gotten in the pattern for the Baby Surprise Jacket and I just had to cast on for it.

I will try to get photos up later today of the projects and my new car.

Natalie Lorraine at 4 months old

I just love these 2 photos from her 4 month photo session on August 21st. Unfortnately the only ones I can get to have the digital watermark on them, but you can still see how cute she is. Knitting and life updates this weekend.

A Hit and Run Posting

This is just to let ya’ll know that it may be a couple more days before I make an actual post about anything important.  I work at a big name craft store and we have inventory on Thursday and due to my job (office specialist) I have been working many hours to prepare all the background stuff.  I will hopefully be back in full gear on Saturday.
